Integrated Ph.D. candidate

Last updated: Jun 14, 2026

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hello, I’m Geunwoo!

I am an Integrated Ph.D. candidate in Advanced Nuclear Engineering at POSTECH, working with Professor Moses Chung. I am interested in how longitudinal beam dynamics can be measured, reconstructed, and controlled in accelerator systems. My current work focuses on longitudinal phase space tomography, RF deflecting cavities, and beam diagnostics.

Before joining POSTECH, I earned my B.E. in Electrical and Information Engineering from Korea University in 2023, graduating with Great Honors.

Interests
  • Longitudinal beam manipulation, diagnostics, and RF systems
  • Optimization of LPS reconstruction algorithms
  • Deflecting cavity optimization and tuning
